About Garrett

As a Spanish tutor with 10 years of experience, I enjoy helping High School and College students achieve their learning goals. I have successfully taught around 150 students and believe that every learner deserves lessons that match their pace and abilities. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding each student's needs and making language learning both enjoyable and effective.

My teaching includes grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking practice, listening exercises, reading comprehension, and writing activities. I use simple explanations, interactive exercises, and practical conversations to help students understand and remember new concepts. I also include regular revision and assessments to measure progress and improve confidence.

One of my biggest achievements has been helping students overcome their fear of speaking Spanish. Many learners have gained confidence, improved their grades, and developed better communication skills through regular practice and guidance. Their achievements motivate me to continue growing as an educator.

I value patience, respect, and clear communication in every lesson. My goal is to help students become confident Spanish speakers while enjoying the process of learning and discovering a new culture.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is built around creativity, critical thinking, mentoring, and accountability because I believe these qualities help students achieve lasting success in Spanish. I aim to make every lesson interactive, meaningful, and connected to real-world communication.

Lessons are personalized according to the student's current level and future goals. I use conversations, storytelling, language games, role plays, visual learning, reading materials, listening exercises, and writing practice to keep students engaged while developing balanced language skills.

Critical thinking is encouraged by helping students understand grammar through examples, recognize vocabulary patterns, and communicate using original ideas. This approach allows students to become confident and independent language users.

As a mentor, I offer patient guidance, continuous encouragement, and personalized support. I motivate students to remain curious, overcome challenges, and enjoy every stage of learning.

Accountability helps maintain steady progress. I establish learning goals, provide regular practice, review previous lessons, monitor improvement, and give detailed feedback after every class. Students gain confidence as they clearly see their progress.

Besides Spanish, I teach grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, writing, listening skills, conversation practice, beginner Spanish, DELE preparation, and Hispanic culture. Authentic learning resources help students experience natural Spanish while strengthening practical communication.

My objective is to help every learner become confident, fluent, and motivated to continue using Spanish beyond the classroom.
