About Jayla
My name is Jayla! i majored in Spanish in college with a minor in chemistry. I took the pre-med route in college with the pursuit of being able to one day be able to communicate with my patients as a doctor not only in English, but in Spanish as well. I graduated from a small university in Texas, called Austin College. I am now in my second year of medical school with 2 years left until graduation. I enjoy teaching and helping others which is why I pursued the medical route. It is because of these reasons that I believe that tutoring in Spanish will not only be beneficial to the students I teach, but also for me as well because it gives me the opportunity to constantly speak the language.

Hello! My name is Jayla Phillips! I was a spanish major in college and my approach to teaching involves allowing the student to put their skill set to use first before then giving an explanation into why a response is right or wrong. I am currently still a student (medical school) so I definiteley can relate to many different age levels whether the person is taking spanish classes at a university, high school level, or grade school, or just want to learn on their own! My sessions will no doubt be informational, and my plan is for each student to leave each session understanding and learning more from the last.
