About Leo

I believe it is important to understand the reasoning behind why one learns the content they are taught in order to gain a proper understanding. I was previously a lower ability student with a projected ATAR of 85, and I've had the opportunity to experience the perspective of students of all different ability levels. The reason I want teach maths is to share the methodology I have accumulated and developed through years of practice and struggle with academics. Everybody tries to understand what to do in maths and how to do it, but no-one ever questions why they do it, which is why I will aim to inspire my students to challenge the things they are taught and to not only improve their mathematics, but their way of learning.

About the lesson

Teaching one on one lessons that focuses mainly on the fundamental techniques, logic, and theories behind mathematics. Heavy focus on interactive student-centred learning and pushing students to achieve their highest capability through deep understanding and enjoyment of the subject. Have had past experiences tutoring ages 10-17 years of age, however all upper-primary to high school are welcome. Lesson length negotiable, between 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on needs of student.

Perfect! Leo has been helping my daughter with her Maths. He is able to explain concepts that is understandable to her and has a very supportive teaching style that allows kids to increase their confidence and abilities in maths. Explaining concepts clearly and is patient.
