About Isa
I am a PhD candidate studying astrophysics in New York. I have a BS in physics (2020) and an MS in astrophysics (2022). I have extensive experience with science and math subject matter, up through a graduate college level.
I have successfully tutored many students in middle- and high school math classes, working one-on-one through virtual (and in-person) tutoring sessions. I have adapted to meet the learning style and needs of all students, including neurodivergent students, to help them succeed in mastering their math. I like to have a flexible approach, that is sure to include hands-on practice with the material.

I plan for lessons to be a place of success for students. I do this by ensuring I am meeting you at your learning style, and making the tutoring session relevant to both your goals as well as your current skill and knowledge level. Lessons are by me, for you! I appreciate receiving questions or topics to go over ahead of time, so I can be best prepared with creative approaches to help you learn how to tackle your work in a way that is approachable for you personally. Sessions typically consist of going over key concepts and direct practice with math questions, either ones you supply or ones I can generate for extra practice.
