I will teach the students how to effectively read and enjoy reading, so they could absorb the complete essence of a story. I will give my own thoughts about the story, explain the plot, and the significance of things that they might've overlooked. This will familiarise them with the story to such an extent that they could answer any questions about it.
I will ask them to write an essay on the story that they have just read, which I will then grade to improve their writing skills and grammar.
For creative writing, I will teach them the fundamentals of writing, we'll also look over famous pieces of literature, and assess the style of writing used. I will give them writing prompts to keep improving their skill of creating a story.
For Grammar, I will take the approach of going the practical route rather than the theoretical one. I will teach them the importance of perfect grammar, and how to use it to their advantage. So, they never make a grammar mistake consciously.
I want to teach them as a friend rather than as someone superior to them. I will teach them with the eye of an expert but I will not show them that I am better than them. I want to hear their voices, and not make them more reserved. In Literature, we convey our thoughts in a way that's subtle and still powerful. I want to make the students harness this ability.
