About Gary
ASL has been my second language since the age of three. I am hard of hearing and attended deaf classes/deaf school and have always been passionate about teaching such a beautiful language. I do not have any educational background but am planning to take deaf studies in the fall to make this my full time career

I am a very flexible, approachable and fun teacher. I believe in using a lot of visuals, hands-on activities and comedy in my teaching methods. This way my students will remember what I am teaching them! I also encourage questions along the way, and not "at the end"

Perfect! Gary took the time to get to know me a little and my goals for these sessions. He asked about my strengths and weaknesses in ASL and asked if there was anything specific I wanted to work on. He then helped me with everything I requested for the session. Gary kept it fun and interesting and gave me some ways to remember certain signs. I feel like this first session was very successful and I am looking forward to the next one!

Gary teaches ASL very well and he makes it fun!! It makes you want to learn more and use ASL. I would recommend him as ASL tutor
