About Lesley
Adult learners often seek a structured path toward musical fluency and stage readiness. I admit that maintaining discipline is the hardest part of the craft, but it is necessary for progress. My training at the McGill Schulich School of Music provided a deep foundation in classical repertoire and theory.
I balance rigorous technical development with the joy of making music. Throughout my 3 years of experience, I have focused on building confident performers.
ABRSM and Trinity exam prep, sight transposition, and memorization techniques remain my core focus. I also guide students through jazz improvisation, pop styles, hand independence, and proper posture. Music has remained central to my life since my childhood days. Helping you find your voice at the keys is my goal.

Your initial session focuses on assessing current hand position and musical habits. I admit that correcting old habits takes patience and persistence.
You will start with basic repertoire. Then we move into complex contemporary pieces.
My 3 years of experience helps me spot errors quickly. We incorporate theory and accompaniment skills immediately.
I record short playbacks of each session. This allows you to review technical nuances at home. You will perform with confidence within a single term. I provide an 8-minute playback clip for every student to ensure clarity.
