Super Prof

Kylah is one of our best Drawing tutors. High-quality profile and excellent qualifications, organised and responsive to lesson requests, appreciated by their students!

About Kylah

I'm a Freelance Animator and Illustrator based in Toronto. In college, I advised junior students and found a passion for helping others develop their skills. I have experience designing and running Arts and Crafts Programming for Children's Day Camps, which has helped me to identify and address individual learners' needs. Beginning in May 2020, I started tutoring art and drawing online. I have found success in mentoring students of all ages. I've helped students to design characters and backgrounds, explore gesture and anatomy studies, and to discover a clearer picture of the work they would like to pursue. If you would like to see some more examples of my work before you decide whether I'm the right tutor for you, please ask for a link to my Portfolio in your message request. I accept PayPal and E-transfers and will happily provide professional invoices if requested.

About the lesson

My teaching methods rely on challenging my students to step out of their comfort zones, try new techniques and subjects. I expect students to bring an open mind and be ready to experiment, but I'm flexible in how we approach our lessons.

I develop a unique program for each student, considering the student's strengths and weaknesses and what I can do to help them improve. I'll also take into account what the student's personal goals and interests are, and guide them in developing the specific skills that will aid them in achieving those goals.

My artistic background is based in traditional art, cartooning, and animation. My work is highly character and story-related and I bring those sensibilities into my teaching. I'll provide the instruction for art fundamentals, drawing exercises, helpful resources, challenges that promote creative thinking, and an individual experience tailored to the student's interests.

Perfect! Kylah is helping my daughter with her art passion for last 8 months and we have seen significant improvement in art skills. She is knowledgeable and explains the steps clearly. We regularly connect and review my daughter’s progress and explore future learning objectives that align with my daughter’s art passion. Kylah helped my daughter to make portrait of her grandfather for his 75th birthday. That portrait made my daughter star. Her grand father adored it. I would highly recommend Kylah.

Kylah is a really smart, well-rounded jack-of-all-trades of the art domain.
She can just as easily explain to you the principals of cartooning, or the basics of life drawing, as well as the entire history of animation!

She may not be my offical teacher, but she might as well be!

I've had the pleasure of being Kylah's classmate in college, art students usually refer to each other for feedback. Kylah is helpful, resourceful, honest, and most importantly: uplifting. I can personally say that she'd make a just and caring teacher.
