About the lesson

Music performance started as a quiet obsession in my youth before formal training took over. I discovered that classical rigor often stifles the joy found in folk melodies.

Over 13 years of playing across Canada, I have found balance between rigid technique and raw expression. This path led me to help self-taught players find structural clarity. Many advanced learners struggle to bridge the gap between note accuracy and emotional depth.

Intermediate learners frequently find themselves hitting a wall with physical mechanics. My experience spans hundreds of students who needed a reset on their fundamental approach. I enjoy the moment a student realizes that discipline is actually a form of freedom.

It is rewarding to see players move from frustration to fluid performance. Teaching allows me to share the nuance of classical-folk crossover styles every single day.
