About Dedra
Do you wonder how a MMus from the Royal Northern College of Music influences guitar instruction? I hold this degree and apply the same analytical, calm rigour to strumming patterns, rhythm guitar, and scales and modes that I use in vocal coaching.
With 13 years of experience, I translate complex theory into practical electric technique and lead guitar playing. Working with 238 students has taught me to remain theatre-fluent and focused while adjusting to different learning paces. My background as a neurodivergent-affirming teacher means we prioritise clear communication and sensory awareness in every session.

Starting with a diagnostic skills check is the most direct way to build a lesson plan. This assessment identifies exactly where you are currently standing with your technique. I then analyse your playing to pinpoint specific gaps. My 13 years of training allow me to see these patterns instantly.
I integrate my deep understanding of music theory to simplify the hardest scales. We prioritise your actual progress over abstract theory. You will leave with a clear sense of what to practise next. Let us get your playing moving towards your specific goals.
