About Karen
Teaching requires a clear map of the syllabus so you understand exactly where we are going. By focusing on your specific gaps, we can turn difficult topics like game theory into straightforward logic puzzles.
My approach uses past-paper essay walkthroughs to help you structure arguments that examiners value. We discuss why a policy succeeds in a vacuum but might fail in a real market. You can expect me to provide clarity on monetary policy through the lens of recent central bank announcements. This keeps the material relevant rather than keeping it locked in a textbook.
My notes will help you organize your thoughts for upcoming assessments. Send me a sample of your current writing if you have one.

Macroeconomics captured my interest during my first undergraduate lecture when I realized how policy impacts global markets. To be honest, I struggled with the abstract nature of elasticity until I started mapping it against real-world commodity price fluctuations. I have taught 187 students who need to synthesize high-level concepts for competitive commerce and actuarial degrees.
My background in economics and data science allows me to show how supply and demand models influence modern financial decision-making. Students aiming for excellence in AP or IB Economics benefit from the logical rigor I bring to each session. I break down complex GDP models into manageable parts that mirror actual economic cycles.
My method centers on making theory visible through current events and historical data. Balancing the theory with practical application remains my focus.
