About Whitney
My interest in architecture began with a deep appreciation for how spaces influence human emotion, behavior, and daily life. This passion led me to complete a B.Arch in Architectural Design, followed by an M.Arch in Urban Sustainability, where I studied both creative design thinking and modern approaches to responsible building. Over 9 years of teaching experience, I have guided students in developing confidence, clarity, and originality in their architectural work. I truly enjoy supporting learners as they discover their creative potential.
I approach teaching with patience, openness, and strong attention to each student’s unique style. My lessons focus on helping learners understand design logic, strengthen visual communication, and develop a confident architectural voice. Whether working through sketches, project discussions, or portfolio refinement, I ensure students feel encouraged, supported, and motivated. Many students grow rapidly once they realize architecture is not only about talent, but about practice and thoughtful guidance.
Outside tutoring, I stay connected to architecture through sustainability research, concept sketching, and studying global design trends. Teaching architecture is meaningful because I witness students transform ideas into confident creative expression. Supporting their growth as designers and thinkers is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.

Architecture becomes inspiring when students understand that design is both creative expression and structured problem solving. In my lessons, I guide learners through architectural principles such as spatial planning, form development, proportion, material awareness, and visual communication. I help students connect imagination with discipline, showing how architects balance beauty, function, and human experience. Lessons are supportive, thoughtful, and designed to help students explore ideas confidently while also building strong technical foundations. Each session encourages creativity while providing clear structure.
Lesson plans are always adapted to the learner’s level. Beginners focus on sketching fundamentals, design observation, basic composition, and understanding how spaces work. Intermediate students strengthen skills through model development, conceptual planning, architectural drawing techniques, and design refinement. Advanced learners focus on portfolio building, project storytelling, presentation skills, sustainable design concepts, and preparing for architecture school or professional pathways. I provide detailed feedback and step-by-step guidance so learners develop steadily and confidently.
Architecture lessons also help students grow creatively, emotionally, and intellectually. Many learners become more observant, expressive, and confident in communicating ideas through design. My goal is to help students build a strong creative identity while developing disciplined architectural habits that support long-term success.
