About Hailey
I hold a B.Arch and an M.Arch in Environmental Design, with over 9 years of experience teaching students at various levels. Throughout my career, I have guided learners through the entire design process, from foundational drawing to professional project development. My approach emphasises clarity, creativity, and adaptability, tailoring lessons to each student’s strengths, interests, and learning style. I aim to foster both technical competence and artistic expression. In the classroom, I encourage experimentation, critical analysis, and real-world application. I integrate discussions, visual tools, digital software, and project-based assignments to help learners make meaningful connections between theory and practice. I prioritise building confidence, resilience, and professional skill sets, preparing students for academic success and creative careers. Beyond teaching, I actively engage with sustainable urban development projects, architectural research, and contemporary design trends. Sharing this knowledge allows students to see architecture as a dynamic field with broad societal impact. Watching learners grow from conceptual thinking to tangible, well-executed designs, and gaining confidence in their creative vision, remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my teaching journey.

My architecture lessons are crafted to provide students with a deep understanding of spatial reasoning, design principles, and urban planning concepts. Lessons incorporate hands-on exercises, conceptual modelling, digital visualisation, and real-world case studies to create an immersive learning experience. Students explore material selection, environmental impact, and sustainable construction methods, connecting academic principles to practical applications. I foster creativity while teaching structure, ensuring learners understand both aesthetic and functional aspects of design. Beginners focus on drawing fundamentals, proportion, and simple layout planning. Intermediate learners engage in advanced design exercises, model construction, and site analysis, while advanced students work on portfolio development, architectural critique, and integrated urban projects. Lessons emphasise analytical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application, helping students feel confident in their ability to approach both academic and professional design challenges. Architecture education extends beyond technical mastery; it nurtures observation, spatial intelligence, and creative confidence. Students learn to articulate ideas visually, consider social and environmental implications, and develop solutions for complex design challenges. My goal is to inspire learners to approach projects with innovation, professionalism, and a lifelong passion for creating meaningful and sustainable spaces.
