About Aashaka
I am hard-working and dedicated teacher who aims to bring out the best in each of her students. I am patient by nature. I believe it is important to look at any problem from a student's point of view and solve it working as a team, as a partner with the student. Studying and learning new skills can be so much fun if it is worked upon as a team! I think there is a lot to learn for the teacher as well from every student.

For school subjects I prefer to to teach 1 hour, as I believe it is an appropriate attention span for students. For other skills such as dance and yoga, I believe 2 hours is a good span (with a small break at half-time) for the body and mind to remain active and coordinated.
I am an architecture graduate also with IGSCE and A Level certificates. I am a certified Yoga teacher from 'The Yoga Institute' India and a trained Kathak (Indian classical) dancer and teacher from Aaradhya Dance Academy India.
I am interested in teaching all ag groups for academics, dance and yoga.

Aashaka is an excellent maths teacher who was able to improve my year 9 maths scores from an average of 40% to 85%. This gave me a very strong foundation for my upcoming HSCs. She is very organised and helps her students with not only maths, but setting out weekly study plans and takes out extra time to give out and mark our homework. Aashaka is so encouraging and positive. I can't recommend her enough.
