About Siobhan

Learning is much easier when you actually enjoy the process! I’ve spent years immersed in history and literature, and that passion has taught me so much about how to research, write, and think critically. I bring that same enthusiasm to my tutoring, helping you find the angles that make your subjects interesting to you. I pride myself on being reliable and professional, creating a consistent space where you can feel supported and heard.

Beyond just covering the curriculum, I’m big on teaching 'how to learn.' I know how overwhelming exams can feel, so we’ll focus on practical, self-sufficient revision techniques that worked for me and can work for you too. My aim isn't just to help you through a tough unit, but to help you build the academic independence to tackle any challenge that comes next. I’d love to help you find your footing and see what you’re truly capable of achieving.

my techniques and teaching methodology is developed heavily on going through exam questions and technique together rather than focusing on the content itself. I'm very happy to be of assistance for the descriptive knowledge side. However, I'm most aware that analysis of the texts and the ability to convert individual knowledge of the text into an exam format is where students lose the most marks.

My lessons are designed to work hand in hand with the exam board, particularly as humanities subjects can differ in the assessment criteria. The typical length of a session would be 1-2 hours depending on the preferences and learning needs of the student as well as closeness to exam seasons.
