Welcome! I'm Here to Help You Learn Spanish with Confidence Hello! My name is Glorisel Kampsen, and I’m a dedicated educator with years of experience teaching and translating Spanish. I bring both passion and professionalism to every lesson, helping students not only understand the language—but truly enjoy the learning process. With a background in early education and language interpretation, I’ve had the privilege of working with students of all ages and backgrounds. My Approach as a Spanish Tutor As a Spanish tutor, my goal is to create a supportive, engaging, and personalized learning environment where students feel confident and excited to learn. Whether you're just starting or looking to refine your skills, I adapt each lesson to meet your specific needs, learning style, and pace. Teaching Methods & Techniques I use a communicative and student-centered approach, which means I focus on real-life language use and practical communication. My techniques include: Interactive speaking and listening activities Visual aids and gestures to support understanding Repetition and reinforcement for strong retention Games, role-playing, and storytelling for engagement Cultural insights to deepen connection with the language For beginners, I focus on building a solid foundation in vocabulary, pronunciation, and basic grammar. For more advanced learners, I incorporate conversational practice, writing, and comprehension skills. A Typical Lesson Plan Each lesson is structured but flexible, and might look like this: Warm-Up – Quick review or fun speaking activity New Content – Introduce new grammar, vocabulary, or theme Practice – Apply the content through conversation, writing, or games Cultural Moment – Short segment on Spanish-speaking cultures Wrap-Up – Review, Q&A, and preview of the next lesson Optional Homework – Simple tasks to reinforce the lesson Lessons can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on your preference and age group.
