About Anirudha
Hi! I am a highly driven STEM student currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering (Honors) at the University of Sydney on a full-tuition International Academic Excellence Scholarship.
I recently graduated high school as Valedictorian (ranked in the Top 5 in Dubai), achieving 4 A*s at A-Level. Alongside my engineering degree, I also hold a Diploma in Programming from IIT Madras (with a 9.73/10 CGPA).
When I am not studying, I am usually competing in engineering design challenges—recently, I have helped prototype solar-powered hearing aids and surgical cutting guides! I love turning complex ideas into tangible solutions, and my goal is to bring that exact same problem-solving energy into my tutoring. My Teaching Method & Techniques:
I believe in "concept over memorization." Because of my engineering and 3D design background, I am a highly visual teacher. I break down abstract math equations or coding algorithms into relatable, real-world analogies so they actually make sense. Once the concept clicks, I focus heavily on active recall and past-paper application, which are the exact techniques I used to score within the top 1% internationally.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
1. The Check-in: Reviewing schoolwork from the week, addressing homework roadblocks, and a quick rapid-fire recap of our last lesson.
2. Core Concept Breakdown: Attacking a weak point or introducing a new topic. I use visual aids and step-by-step analogies until the student fully understands.
3. Guided Practice: We tackle exam-style questions together. I teach students how to decode what the examiner is actually asking for.
4. Independent Application: The student solves a problem completely on their own to prove mastery, followed by a quick study roadmap for their week ahead.
What sets me apart as a tutor:
- Recent, Proven Experience: At 18 years old, I am not decades removed from the stress of exams. I relate directly to my students, and I teach them the modern study techniques that actually work today.
- Real-World Application: I don't just teach from a textbook. I actively use complex math and coding in university-level Biomedical Engineering projects. I can show students why what they are learning matters, which naturally boosts their motivation.
- Patience and Adaptability: Whether a student is struggling and needs patience, or is already achieving 90% and needs to be challenged with university-level concepts, I adapt my pacing to fit them perfectly.
