About James

As a Freelance 2D/3D Animation Generalist, Video Editor, and VR Technician, I bring a diverse range of skills to my tutoring. With experience in producing VR content, creating 3D avatars, and facilitating VR experiences for both local and international audiences, I’ve supported over 5,600 individuals in exploring VR over the last 9 years. My participation in numerous VR events in the Perth area has strengthened my ability to work with cutting-edge technology and stay current with industry trends.

In recent years, I’ve also been experimenting with AI content creation tools, which has led to some exciting and promising results. My qualifications, including a Bachelor of Animation, Diploma of Interactive Digital Media, and Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment, combined with my hands-on industry experience, ensure a professional and creative approach to tutoring. I’m committed to delivering high-quality, personalized lessons that inspire confidence and help students grow.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring & Class Structure:

I tailor each session to the unique needs and goals of my students, whether you're a beginner or looking to refine intermediate or advanced skills. My teaching balances creative exploration with technical proficiency, offering a supportive and engaging environment.

Techniques & Teaching Methodology: I emphasize practical, hands-on learning, where students work on real-world projects to apply new concepts immediately. My teaching combines creative techniques with technical knowledge, breaking down complex topics into manageable steps. I encourage an interactive approach, with room for experimentation and questions.

Lesson Length: Lessons typically run 60 to 120 minutes, depending on the student’s pace and the subject being covered.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor of Animation
- Diploma of Interactive Digital Media
- Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment
- 9 years of industry experience

These qualifications allow me to blend creative and technical expertise in animation and media to ensuring a well-rounded approach.

Target Audience: I offer lessons for teens and adults (15+) interested in animation, 3D modeling, or creative media, at all levels from beginner, Intermediate and advanced.
