About Yusuf
I believe that my experience with the IB diploma program and holistic teaching practice would make me an inclusive learning facilitator for this great citadel of learning.
I am a trained educator for all students irrespective of their gender, race and abilities. As a psychology teacher for three years now, I have been equipped with the IB curriculum, thinking school approaches to learning and I believe that my exposure to the approaches to the teaching and learning in IB program can be applied to this role thus promoting effective teaching and learning in class
In addition to having a post graduate diploma in education and 3 years’ experience in teaching IB diploma psychology, I also work as a form tutor and houseparent which has allowed me to refine my skills handling extreme behavioral issues, while maintaining a focused class. I also prepare the children for the challenging state tests and foster their leadership and problem-solving skills by having them collaborate in groups.

My teaching method is child centered. I focus my approach on making the child take charge of his/her own learning. By combining different styles of learning that will enhance better understanding. I also ensure students make use of reflections to know the progress they have made in learning.
