I'm a full-time tutor, Speech Coach (Accent Addition / Reduction / Modification), certified ESL Pronunciation Teacher, and Accent Specialist with over 2 years of professional experience.

I am currently working on my Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (TESOL Emphasis) at East Texas A&M University.

I’m a native speaker of English from the United States of America. I was born in California and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I currently live in Mexico.

My mission is to help non-native English speakers internalize and master the pronunciation of General American English in order to enhance their communication with native speakers of North America, in three ways:
- Intelligibility – applying the correct sounds at the right time within an acceptable range of accuracy so the listener can understand.
- Accent – developing guidelines for articulatory setting and placement, making it easier for the speaker to produce sounds and, ultimately, make it easier for the listener to comprehend.
- Fluency – using correct rhythm, stress, intonation, and connected speech so that essential as well as implied meanings are communicated effectively.
- In doing so, I seek to improve my clients' quality of life while providing a dignified life for my family, all for the glory of God.

While I love my work, my biggest interests are Catholic theology and spirituality, my family (as a husband and father), linguistics, and the classical liberal arts, especially philosophy, history, and Latin.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (2021) and a 120-hour Advanced TEFL Certificate (2023). Most importantly, I continue to build an ever-growing portfolio of certifications in pronunciation and accent training

About the lesson

TEACHING METHODOLOGY:

During our first lesson, I’ll get to know you, your goals, and your needs. I’ll identify the key sounds that need improvement in your spontaneous speech, and you’ll also read targeted sentences to assess your pronunciation while reading.

From the beginning, we set clear, specific pronunciation goals based on your assessment and work step by step toward them in every lesson. I tailor each lesson to your needs, focusing first on the sounds and patterns that will make the greatest impact.

We begin by establishing your tongue posture for English, helping you make immediate progress through clear and simple rules for all English sounds.

My lessons follow a clear, structured plan, so you always understand what we’re working on and why. Each lesson includes: review, introduction of a new pronunciation rule, and guided practice.

I work patiently with you, repeating and refining sounds until they feel natural and automatic, never rushed. I continuously adjust the pace and focus based on your progress and individual pronunciation patterns.

Daily homework practice, with both automatic and personalized feedback, helps build your awareness and muscle memory.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱? Definitely start with one per week and then upgrade after the first month if you have the time! Each week is full of homework, and a lot to absorb. How much you want to do is up to you, though!
