About Ali
I'm Ali, based in Pakistan. My background is in finance and accounting — I'm currently a finalist in ICMAP, a rigorous professional accounting qualification, and I scored highest in my class in a business mathematics exam. Math has been the constant thread through my education and work, not just something I picked up to tutor.
On the teaching side, I've spent a few years tutoring students one-on-one, mostly in algebra and problem-solving, alongside a year teaching in a school setting. I don't hold a formal teaching certification, but I bring real subject mastery and a genuine ability to explain why something works, not just hand over steps to memorize.
Outside of academics, I read, follow music, and play soccer — which keeps me patient and level-headed, useful traits for a tutor too.

Each lesson starts with a quick check on where you're at — what's solid, what's shaky — so we're not wasting time on things you already know. From there, we work through problems together, but I won't just hand you the answer; I'll walk you through the reasoning so you can solve similar problems on your own later, especially for algebra and probability, which come up constantly in AMC 10.
If you're stuck on a specific topic, we can go deep on that. If you're prepping broadly, we'll build a rotation covering your weaker areas first. Every lesson ends with a clear takeaway — one or two things to practice before we meet again, not a vague "good job, see you next time." You'll always know exactly what to work on and why.
