About Zuga

Hello! I'm a lifelong reader who believes that books have the power to entertain, comfort, and transform us. My reading journey began in childhood first with fairy tales, and then Enid Blyton's The Famous Five and The Secret Seven. As I grew older, I discovered classics like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Pride and Prejudice. Today, I enjoy reading across genres, especially literary fiction, thrillers, mysteries, and translated East Asian fiction. What fascinates me most is exploring the characters, themes, emotions, and ideas that each story brings to life.

I know there are many people who want to read more but don't know where to begin or struggle to stay motivated. Sometimes all we need is a gentle nudge and a reading buddy to walk alongside us. That's why I created these Buddy Reading Sessions. Together, we'll read at your own pace, discuss the story, share our thoughts, and gradually build a joyful and lasting reading habit. My hope is to help you discover not just great books, but also the lifelong joy of reading.

About the lesson

Have you always wanted to become a reader but found novels intimidating or difficult to finish? Let's change that together. I'm not here to teach literature or test you on grammar. I'm here to be your reading companion. Together we'll choose a book, read it at your own pace, discuss the plot, characters and themes, and explore the thoughts and emotions it inspires. Along the way, you'll naturally build your English vocabulary, improve your communication skills, and gain confidence in expressing your ideas. Most importantly, you'll discover the joy of reading in a relaxed, friendly and judgment-free environment.

Details

₹499 per hour. The first one-hour session is free so we can understand your goals and see if we're a good fit. Online classes are conducted via Google Meet or Zoom. Sessions are personalized based on your reading preferences in terms of genre, book length, etc.

Readers will have to get their own book; all formats (physical book, ebook and audiobooks are fine).
