About Katie

"If a child cannot learn in the way we teach, we must teach a way the child can learn."
Throughout the 9+ years I have been in the classroom, I believe in fun and engaging lessons, using a variety of teaching techniques that appeal to all students. I ensure to take into account your child's interests to help maintain strong engagement throughout the session. My lessons will help inspire confidence in your young learner so that they can go back to school feeling proud of their achievements and learn with increased independence.

About the lesson

"A very good teacher. My child enjoys lessons a lot!"
"The lessons are fun but I still learn a lot!"
"Now I am in secondary school, I miss studying with Katie."

Hi, I'm Katie, a fully qualified primary school teacher and private tutor for children from Reception to Year 7. With over 9 years of teaching experience, I've honed my skills to deliver engaging and effective online lessons.

Zoom has been my teaching platform for the past four years, and I've mastered the art of making learning fun and interactive through this medium. From phonics to creative writing to maths challenges, I teach subjects across the national curriculum, helping give additional support, and preparing students for SATS and 11+ exams. I have experience working with a wide range of SEND needs and ensure that lessons are tailored to suit your child, keeping them fully engaged throughout.

Parents love my dedication and professionalism, and students enjoy every moment of our sessions. See what they have to say below! Please feel free to email/ text me if you have any queries.
