About Abbie

Do you find yourself assuming that you are simply not a math person? I teach because I want to change that narrative by focusing on the logic behind the numbers. As a PhD candidate at Vanderbilt University, I have spent 5 years refining how I explain complex concepts.

My approach centers on the idea that students should be willing to be wrong out loud. I care far more about your ability to rebuild the reasoning than your ability to memorize an answer.

I specialize in breaking problems down until they are almost insultingly small. Then, we build the concepts back up together. Feel free to reach out if you want to work through this.

About the lesson

Clarity is our starting point. We strip away the intimidation.

Whether you are a middle school student, an honors student, or someone who struggles with math, we focus on the core mechanics of absolute value, polynomials, and inequalities. We also cover sequences, completing the square, and slope and linear functions with precision.

Practice. You will reconstruct the logic step by step until the answer becomes an inevitable result of your own work. This process ensures you build steady confidence for your future goals.
