About Priyal

Hi! I’m Priyal, an Alberta Certified Teacher and University of Alberta Bachelor of Education graduate, with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Chemistry.

I have over four years of tutoring experience and classroom teaching experience. My background in both Mathematics and Chemistry helps me support students with the calculations, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding that Chemistry requires.

I enjoy breaking complicated topics into smaller steps and helping students develop the confidence to solve problems independently.

About the lesson

Lessons are personalized according to your course, current level, and learning goals.

We can work on:

Understanding difficult Chemistry concepts
Step-by-step problem solving
Atomic structure and the periodic table
Chemical bonding
Chemical reactions
Balancing chemical equations
Mole calculations
Stoichiometry
Solutions and concentration
Acids and bases
Chemistry calculations
Homework and assignments
Quiz, test, and exam preparation
Reviewing concepts you did not fully understand in class

I will explain the reasoning behind each step and give you opportunities to practice so that you can eventually solve similar problems independently.

If you have a test coming up, we can focus specifically on the topics and question types you need to prepare for.

Online tutoring available.

Send me a message with your Chemistry course and the topics you're struggling with, and we can create a lesson plan around your needs!

#Details

My tutoring rate is $45/hour.

Each lesson is personalized to the student's grade level, course, and learning goals. The hourly rate includes preparation, explanations, guided practice, and personalized feedback during the lesson.

Lesson options:

30-minute lessons for quick review
60-minute lessons for regular tutoring and focused practice
90-minute lessons for more advanced topics, exam preparation, or multiple concepts

I recommend 60-minute lessons for most students, as they provide enough time to review concepts, practice questions, and address questions without feeling rushed.

For students who want ongoing support, weekly lessons can help maintain consistency and build understanding over time.

Please message me before booking so we can discuss your course, goals, and the type of support you are looking for.
