About Aisling

I’ve been playing the violin since I was five, beginning with traditional Irish music by ear before training through the Suzuki method. I later joined a conservatoire, completed the grade system, and spent time at a conservatoire in France, studying both violin and piano. I’m fluent in French and have performed with the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland and the European Youth Orchestra Academy. I draw from Suzuki, Kodály, and Russian methods in my teaching, focusing on technique, expression, and confidence-building. I currently study Music at King’s College, Cambridge, where I lead the university symphony orchestra and hold multiple awards and scholarships. I’m passionate about helping students grow at every level, from their first scales to advanced repertoire.

About the lesson

Whether you're looking for a practice buddy to break down pieces over the holidays, support with technique, or a full-time teacher, I’m happy to help. I teach using elements of the Suzuki, Kodály, and Russian schools of music, adapting to each student's needs. Lessons typically run 30–60 minutes depending on level and are fully negotiable. I hold post–Grade 8 qualifications, distinctions in both Violin and Musicianship, and have over 15 years of experience. Lessons are suitable for all ages, from Grade 1 through to post–Grade 8 students.
