About Ahmed
I hold A PhD in chemistry from Leeds university and have delivered over 1720 sessions mostly in Chemistry A level, as well as at GCSE and degree-level both in person and online, with over 70 concurrent repeat students and overall very good feedback. I have an extensive experience of chemistry both in academia and in industry through my study of Chemistry at the University of Leeds, the University of Bradford, and the Gerhard-Mercator-Universität in Duisburg Germany and that involves organic synthesis, liquid crystal chemistry, polymer chemistry, Green Chemistry (Ionic liquid), analytical chemistry and physical organic chemistry. I also have teaching experience in higher education, having been qualified with a PgCHEP qualification and having taught both Organic and Inorganic Chemistry to Science Foundation Year and Clinical Science students, as well as analytical chemistry to postgraduate students of pharmacy.

Dr Ahmed El Mansoury I have had a wide experience in chemistry both in the industry and in academia through my study of Chemistry at the University of Leeds, the University of Bradford, and the Gerhard-Mercator-Universität in Duisburg Germany. I also have a wide experience in teaching as a qualified lecturer and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in further and high education. In addition to that I have gained experience in teaching international students Throughout my studies of Chemistry I have become advanced in organic, inorganic, physical and polymer chemistry. I have a wide experience in teaching, enabling learning in the use of data, and giving the students regularly assessments to allow them to see their own strengths and weaknesses. On top of that I can provide them with additional tasks to be done in their own time to learn and remember the topics that they didn’t initially understand. I believe that for an outstanding lesson to be achieved, the lesson must have a sufficient impact on the students. Important factors for this to happen include always giving them targets before and after the lesson so they know what they need to focus on throughout the lesson and at the end of the lesson to act as a reminder of what they should have taken away. It must also give the students a sense of achievement as this will improve not only their attitude towards the lesson, but also towards the topic and the rest of the module. I have given many lectures and I always strive to improve on my teaching and incorporate a variety of learning styles. I am a reflective lecturer, I always deliver my lectures and tutorials to an outstanding level, so that my students achieve their full potential and I always act upon their feedback
