About Monica
Eighteen years of competing in 150 rated tournaments across Australia and internationally informs my instruction as a FIDE Trainer with a BA in Education. I prioritize board vision, king safety, and positional understanding to ensure students handle complexity with precision. Developing consistent pattern recognition is essential for mid-level players looking to sharpen their middlegame planning. Watching students grasp a difficult attacking play sequence during practice matches remains the most satisfying part of this work.
