About Purvansh
I'm currently a junior pursuing my bachelor's in aerospace engineering at one of the top 2 AE programs in the country (Georgia Tech), so I have extensive experience with everything from math and physics far beyond the high school Advanced Placement level to thermodynamics and mechanical engineering skills. Additionally, I went to BASIS Scottsdale, consistently rated as one of the most academically rigorous high schools in the country, and excelled in the STEM track there. In fact, freshman year of high school was when I got my start in tutoring. Even at that young age, I helped to run the student hours for my economics and pre-calculus teachers, tutoring students that were exclusively my age or older. As this was more of a classroom, group setting, I functioned more as a teacher, re-capping the lesson for the day and resolving individual confusions separately. I enjoyed the satisfaction of tutoring so much I've chased that satisfaction in two different ways since my junior year of high school. First, I began to tutor underprivileged students online through STEM-E's online platform. With this endeavor, I tutored students from K-12 one-on-one, devising personalized lesson plans and connecting with each student individually. Secondly, I ran an independent tutoring business for my area, providing students near me the specialized help they require, and keeping alive my passion for teaching. Ultimately, I'm on the younger side to be a professional tutor, but I've always found that to help me connect with students more, better letting me impart academic help and advice. I want to come across as an open book, and I will respond ASAP to any requests. Feel free to reach out to just say hello or to schedule a lesson!
