About Maya
I have 8 years of experience as a mathematics mentor and have been honored with the "New England STEM Educator Award" for my work in digital pedagogical innovation. My academic background is rooted in Mathematics Education, which allows me to break down even the most complex Statistics or Calculus topics into digestible, logical components. Outside of the virtual classroom, I am a dedicated long-distance runner. I provide a one-to-one live learning experience on Zoom where we transform Mathematics from a list of rules into a logical language. For High School and first-year Bachelor's students, I focus on the "Structural Logic" of Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics, Algebra, and Geometry. The primary benefit of our sessions is that you will learn to visualize abstract functions using real-time digital graphing tools. Instead of just solving equations, we explore the behavior of curves and the logic of geometric proofs together.
