About Davit

My current chess rating hovers around 2100-2400. I have participated in 9 local tournaments and 11 USCF Rated events. I have played more than 11,000 online and over the board games on (concealed information), Lichess, and over the board. I play around 50 games or more a day with a high win rate.

Hello, my name is Davit and I’m from Georgia the country. I enjoy instructing chess and have won 80% of my over 17,000 games played both live and online. I give chess advice and pointers for upcoming games in your career. I want to get to know you, current chess skill and rating, and your playing style in the first lesson. I'll play against you and offer guidance as we go. I'm eager to start teaching you chess! I speak English and Georgian. I provide visual examples, puzzles, strategies, opening/middle/endgame variations and more. We will analyze previous games and understand what you did right or wrong. Requirements: You need a (concealed information) Account. Chess Board (Optional) Microphone and Camera After the lesson is concluded feel free to send me a (concealed information) Challenge and I will most likely accept it. Do not hesitate to ask any questions throughout the lessons.

  • When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

    I have been playing ever since I was 6 years old. I started because I saw high status people playing chess so I got interested and I've been playing since.
  • Which artists or works affect you the most?

    Hikaru Nakamura and Magnus Carlsen are exceptional players who inspired me to start playing.
  • What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?

    To succeed in chess you need dedication, patience and focus.
  • What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

    Always try to do what you love even if it doesn't work out as expected.
  • How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

    My passion for chess is because of the community and chess is like a language worldwide. I like the enjoyment, status, friendships and connections I make while playing chess.
  • What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

    At my peak, I had a 2560 elo rating. I play the saxophone and I am an advanced musician. I am also a wood carver. I also enjoy engineering projects.
  • Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

    My students learn extremely quickly much faster than I did. Everyone is capable of greatness but it is there choice if they would like to achieve it or not.
  • Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

    Becoming an professional tutor is no easy task but I put my mind to it so It worked out well for me and it can for you as well!
