About Vitus Chabre
Hi, my name is Vitus, and I am studying actuarial mathematics at the University of Copenhagen in the first year of my bachelor's degree. My studies have given me strong competencies in teaching the more advanced topics in high school mathematics, including differential and integral calculus, as well as probability and statistics.
Since the end of 2024, I have worked as a tutor, and I am also employed as a tutor at Frederikssund Gymnasium. This experience has given me a solid knowledge of high school mathematics and the competencies expected for advanced-level courses in particular.
I have a great interest in mathematics, and I am just as passionate about passing on my knowledge as I am about learning new things. In addition to mathematics, I am also interested in politics, economics and philosophy. I also love working out, running and playing football, and in general, just being active.

My teaching style is about helping my students on their way to best develop the relevant competencies they need to perform in mathematics. This means that I adapt my teaching to the individual student, as we all learn differently. My goal is to create a safe and relaxed environment, where the student is not afraid of making mistakes and does not feel that the teaching is too easy, too boring or too hard.
In a lesson, I will typically first review the relevant material for a topic. Here, the student can have parts of the topic explained that are difficult for them. If a lesson consists more of general teaching, I can start the lesson with a short presentation on the topic. Here, I will walk through some examples where I will actively involve the student. After that, I will solve some tasks together with the student, where the student must try to solve the task themselves, but where I provide guidance along the way when needed.
I primarily tutor upper secondary/high school students taking advanced mathematics courses, particularly in calculus, probability, and statistics, but I also offer support for students at intermediate levels.
