About James

I am a graduate of the National Theatre Drama School and have worked in the industry for over 10 years. I have performed in all sorts of venues and presented to many audiences in all sorts of different styles. I hold an ATCL in Speech and Drama and an LTCL in Teaching from Trinity Guildhall London and taught in Private Schools and organizations in Melbourne.

About the lesson

I am available to work with children and adults who would like to study Speech and Drama, prepare for auditions, public speaking events, performance exams and oral presentations. Or simply looking to improve their skills or to gain confidence. I love working with anyone wanting to create something really interesting with their work and/or build their confidence to be able to nail that presentation to their class or workplace.

Perfect! James helped my youngest child with a self tape. He engaged really well and brought out the best in him. I loved that he kept the vibe fun and persisted until the accent was right - where I've seen many other acting tutors with a 'near enough' attitude. James won't give you that. He clearly cares, is experienced and a pleasure to work with.

James helped my daughter with her monologue for VCE 3-4 Drama. She needed help understanding the text and James came prepared with lots of helpful notes and information that helped my daughter achieve a great mark.
Over a few sessions they were able to target the key criteria and make it really funny as well.
Would recommend to any parent looking for help with their kids VCE Drama or Theatre Studies work.
I certainly didn't know what to do and am so glad we found James.
