About Morgan
I have finished secondary education at Auckland Grammar School with the offer of the Academic Excellence Scholarship from the University of Otago. I have also received the W E Brown Scholarship from Auckland Grammar School upon graduation. In my 5 years there, I have been presented with multiple awards for Top in Class, and was in the Top 3% of my year level. I also finished the Chemistry Olympiad Camp, and placed 19th nationwide in Chemistry. I completed A level Physics with a high mark of A* with 94%, and A level Chemistry with an outstanding mark of A* with 97%. In 2022, I achieved an average of 97.6% across my papers in the University of Otago, and received marks of 100% in Biological Physics (PHSI191), 1st in the year group, and 97% in Chemistry (CHEM191), 3rd in the year group. I am currently studying Medicine (MBChB) at the University of Otago, and have finished the second year with Distinction.

My lesson is aimed towards students in secondary education, whether they have questions with the content they're learning, or if they want to prepare for future topics. In a 1-hour lesson, I start off by revising what has been covered last time to ensure long-term memory is achieved in that topic. I then proceed to explain a new topic in depth while running through some practice questions. I allow the student to attempt some questions to ensure they fully understand. I will set some homework for them to complete for next week's lessons as well. I have taught many students, ranging from Auckland Grammar School, Epsom Girls Grammar School, King's College, and University of Otago in my 3 years of tutoring. All have exhibited interest in my lessons and improved in their academic results.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
I would definitely recommend Morgan as a tutor. I've been so stuck on Chemistry recently, but with his tutoring I have gotten excellent grades in my chemistry topic tests, even getting full marks! Morgan is so patient and nice with his tutoring and he makes complicated concepts so understandable.
I know Morgan as a friend from school activities, and he is a trustworthy, reliable person who will patiently explain all aspects of mathematics to his students. His attention to detail will ensure that he focuses on the students' weak points and help to strengthen them efficiently.
Morgan is both enthusiastic, caring and patient. His dedication towards not just the academics, but all aspects of himself makes him a brilliant role model to look up to as well as a superb tutor for all subjects! As my tutor he not only provided me with relevant and concise notes for my subjects, but also gave me valuable insight into the CIE exam system and its various quirks and flavours. His approach to tutoring is very friendly, utilising a positive relationship(rather than neutral) that really bolstered my enjoyment of learning with him as well as my love for learning as a whole. I really enjoyed my sessions with Morgan and I believe that he is a really trustworthy tutor.
Morgan is a passionate chemistry tutor who is keen to share his chemistry knowledge with young high school students. He is patient and articulate with his explanations, unpacking complex concepts with simple terms and clear analogies to facilitate his students' learning.
