About Roy
Effective instruction does not always require hours of tedious memorization. I focus on practical application because small, consistent steps yield the best results for my diverse students. During our time together, we will prioritize your specific needs, whether that involves travel French or preparing for the DELF or DALF exams.
I bring 13 years of experience to ensure every minute is productive for both kids and adults. One unique aspect of my method involves weekly conversation recordings that we review together to track your progress.

Reading comprehension and business French are far less difficult than most learners assume when they start. I rely on my Master of Arts in French Studies from Université de Montréal to break down these complex subjects. Growing up in Paris gave me an intuitive grasp of the language that I share with all my students.
I have spent 13 years refining the way I teach, ensuring that concepts are clear for kids, relocation seekers, and working professionals alike. My approach integrates interview preparation and accent work into a cohesive framework.
I assist absolute beginners and hobbyists by keeping the process straightforward and manageable. My own bilingual journey between France and Canada informs how I explain subtle nuances to Anglophones. I truly enjoy seeing the moment a student masters a difficult grammar point. Being able to connect with people from various backgrounds is the most rewarding part of my work.
