About Lucy

Numbers became my language after entering the finance industry. Teaching became my craft through 8 years of working with students in classrooms and one-to-one settings. I focus on understanding concepts rather than simple memorization to ensure everything actually sticks.

Independent problem-solving remains the core goal for every student I support. Reliance on a tutor is a temporary crutch that I aim to remove entirely. I focus on actionable advice and purposeful practice to help you succeed.

About the lesson

You sit down to analyze a complex bank reconciliation or a messy ledger. That moment is where I step in to provide the real-world context of an MBA graduate from Columbia University.

We handle QuickBooks basics, managerial accounting, and GAAP fundamentals until they become second nature. Financial statements or accounts payable issues lose their mystery when broken down logically.

I offer a free trial lesson to map out goals and ensure our time together is spent efficiently. My approach is simple because I avoid fluff to keep the pace moving. Expect a direct, no-nonsense environment where we tackle the hardest tasks first. This approach equips you with the skills to manage your workload independently.
