About Rei

I have spent over 30 years doing the work that most people study for. I am a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Maryland, Texas, and Alabama, a university-level accounting professor, a doctoral candidate in accounting at Liberty University, and a Lead Tax Manager with Intuit TurboTax Live. Accounting is not just what I teach. It is what I do every single day.

My career has taken me from public accounting and auditing to senior executive finance roles. I served as Vice President of Finance at Oakwood University, where I managed a $55 million operating budget, oversaw federal grants, and worked directly with external auditors. Today I serve as Associate Treasurer for one of the largest faith-based organizations in the world, with treasury oversight across 13 international divisions. I have also led audit teams, prepared hundreds of tax returns, and contributed to AI model training as a subject matter expert in finance and accounting.

I bring all of that into every tutoring session. When I explain a concept, I can show you exactly how it applies in a real boardroom, a real audit, or a real tax return. That is the difference between learning accounting and understanding it.

About the lesson

I am a licensed CPA in Maryland, Texas, and Alabama with over 30 years of hands-on experience in accounting, tax, and auditing. I have managed a $55 million budget, led audit teams, filed hundreds of tax returns, and I currently teach accounting at the university level. I know this material from every angle.

My approach is direct. I find exactly where you are stuck, explain it using real-world examples, and make sure you truly understand it, not just memorize it. Every session is built around your needs, not a script.
