About Etta
As a Piano tutor with over 18 years of experience, I enjoy helping college students develop their musical abilities through engaging and well-planned lessons. I believe every student deserves personal attention and encouragement.
My classes are interactive, supportive, and designed around each student's learning pace. I explain every topic using simple English and practical demonstrations that make learning easier and more enjoyable.
I use innovative teaching methods including technology-assisted learning, visual instruction, ear training, rhythm practice, and personalized exercises. These techniques help students build confidence while improving technical and creative skills.
Students learn note reading, finger techniques, scales, chords, timing, posture, and musical expression. I also provide regular assessments and personalized feedback to help students stay motivated and achieve their learning goals.

My teaching style focuses on helping students enjoy learning piano while developing strong technical and musical skills. Lessons are personalized to match each student's learning speed and goals.
Real-life examples and simple case studies make every lesson meaningful. I explain rhythm through everyday movements and teach theory using songs students already know. Practical demonstrations help students connect theory with performance.
Understanding is the key to my teaching. I patiently explain every topic until students feel confident. Instead of simply memorizing lessons, students learn how to apply musical concepts while playing.
Communication creates a supportive learning environment. I explain concepts in simple English, encourage questions, and provide constructive feedback that motivates students to improve.
Integrity is reflected in my professionalism, honesty, and commitment. I encourage students to practice regularly and stay focused on long-term improvement.
Besides piano, I also teach keyboard, music theory, sight reading, ear training, improvisation, accompaniment, chord progressions, rhythm exercises, and beginner composition.
