About Lou
I am a committed flute tutor with 19 years of experience, having successfully guided around 150 students across different levels. I am passionate about helping students build strong musical skills and confidence. My teaching style focuses on clear communication, patience, and adaptability, ensuring that each student learns at their own pace.
I emphasize important fundamentals such as breathing techniques, fingering, tone clarity, and rhythm. I make my classes interactive by including exercises, songs, and creative activities that keep students engaged. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving steadily.
My strength is simplifying difficult concepts and making learning easy. I also teach basic music theory to support overall development. My aim is to help students enjoy music and grow as confident flute players.

My approach to teaching flute combines personalization, flexibility, collaboration, and a positive mindset to create an effective and enjoyable learning experience. I begin by understanding the student’s level and preferred learning style, then design lessons that match their pace.
I emphasize essential techniques such as breath control, tone production, and finger movement, helping students build a solid technical base. Flexibility allows me to modify lessons according to the student’s progress. Collaboration is encouraged through interactive learning and creative exploration.
I maintain a supportive environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to improve. Along with flute, I also teach music theory and rhythm to enhance overall musical skills.
