About Hannah
I was recently awarded my PhD in English from Loughborough University – a top 10 UK university. I have degrees in BA English and MA Victorian Studies for which I, respectively, graduated with the highest degree classification, and my MA dissertation won the Waddington MA Prize in English.
During my school years I found exams extremely stressful. I never felt that my exam performance accurately represented my abilities or my grades reflected the work I put in to my education. As a young and impressionable person, this hurt my confidence and held me back. It wasn't until I started university that I realised learning encompassed more than a number or letter on a report card. I am offering tutoring services because I want to keep young people motivated when it comes to education.

I offer tutoring sessions for GCSE, A Level, and undergraduate students working towards exams and degrees in English Literature. My sessions are typically around 1 hour and focus on written expression; formulating an argument; understanding questions; and exploring new and original ideas. I am happy to support students seeking help with anything from analysing poetry and prose to writing techniques for exams, coursework, and dissertations.
