About James

I am an active academic, with a doctorate and post-doc in historical theology. I worked as an honours tutor and assistant principal in a sixth form college for many years, with particular focus on students hoping to study medicine, dentistry, or veterinary science, or seeking to make application to Oxford or Cambridge Universities. I can help you make a success of your studies, especially in Latin, History, Theology, and Religious Studies.

About the lesson

As an experienced teacher, I believe that it is possible to transform a student's experience of a subject by helping them not only with the subject matter itself, but also the way in which it is approached. This is something that can best be taught in a one-to-one setting. As an active academic at the university level, I also know what universities are looking for from students while they are there, but equally when they apply, and I can be of immense help to the student who is trying to navigate these waters. I am looking to help students at A-level, as well as the undergraduate level.
