About Cian
As an ACA-qualified Chartered Accountant with 16 years of tutoring experience (both accounting and math), I’ve helped hundreds of students turn anxiety about accounting and math into genuine understanding — and results they’re proud of. My qualification is one of the most respected in the profession, and I’ve put it to work not only in senior finance roles but also as a lecturer for Chartered Accountants Ireland, where I taught the very exams many of my students are preparing for.

My approach is built on making accounting and maths genuinely understandable, not just memorised. I start every student relationship by identifying exactly where they are — their current level, their target grade, and the specific topics tripping them up — then build a structured plan around that. I break complex concepts down into clear, logical steps, use real-world examples to bring the theory to life, and work through past exam questions so students learn to think the way examiners mark. I believe in a patient, supportive style: no question is too small, and I make sure a topic is fully understood before moving on.
Lessons are typically one hour, which I find is the ideal length to cover a topic in depth while keeping focus sharp. For students preparing for major exams, longer or more frequent sessions can be arranged in the run-up
