About Mahima
I recently graduated with an MSc in Bioinformatics from Bristol University but would love to go back to teaching music. I have prior experience teaching piano for 2 years. I also enjoy teaching outside of the music field as I do have a strong foundation in the sciences as well.

My teaching methods are flexible and focussed on a comfortable way of learning for the student on a case by case basis . In regards to piano playing, I like students to be able to critically assess their playing as this is an important element when it comes to individual practice. The lessons are more practical based and focussed on technique and the theory behind music.
In regards to science tutoring, I have a step by step approach when learning new concepts or completing questions, allowing the student to take the lead and ensuring they understand what is being learned before moving onto a new topic! At the same time, giving appropriate prompts and help if needed. Looking through past paper questions and exam techniques is another area I would focus on as this is a prerequisite when taking an exam.
