About Sarah
I struggled with math in high school, and I tried avoiding it whenever possible. However, throughout college and this past year as a math tutor, I have experienced math in a whole new way. I wish I had someone to guide and support me throughout my high school math classes. That is why I want to continue tutoring. I am someone who will wholeheartedly support you in achieving your goals. I specialize each lesson for each student! Lessons follow the "I do, we do, you do" framewowrk. Typical lessons involve a silent warm-up, group experimentation with the topic, example problems, and then time for independent practice problems.
My approach is to support my students in developing curiosity for math and confidence in their academic and personal abilities. I also help students develop communication skills so they can grow their support network of parents, counselors, and teachers.
