About Jahnavi

Hi, I'm Jahnavi, a third-year medical student at Western Sydney University with a 99th Percentile UCAT score (3160 in 2019) and more than 6 years of tutoring experience ranging across a variety of subjects. I previously graduated from North Sydney Girls High School with an All-rounder's Award and 99+ ATAR. I was part of the first cohort of students to sit the UCAT and navigated the challenges I still see students face - finding the right resources and the right plan to maximize their UCAT scores. Through my own experiences and working with UCAT programs over the last four years I have developed effective teaching methods that have helped my students receive great results above 3000 on the UCAT, multiple medical and dental interviews and offers to medical school.

About the lesson

I am currently offering online UCAT tutoring for dedicated students ready to begin their preparations early so they are in the best position to balance year 12/uni and UCAT and maximise their marks in both. During our lessons, we will work on understanding each section of the exam, breaking down the key question styles and strategies to establish a solid foundation. A combination of resources and test questions will be used throughout to continually improve scores leading up to exam day.

My extensive tutoring experience has helped me provide the best teaching to my students by tailoring it their preferences. I help students manage their time effectively by prioritising the important skills and providing lots of mocks and questions that stimulate the exam. I also provide students an understanding of a holistic medical school application, advice about admission and I have helped my students with preparing applications and interviews after their UCAT lessons.

Perfect! I really appreciate Jahnavi's help throughout my UCAT process. When I first started my prep, I did a lot of questions but didn't see any improvement, and my scores had stagnated. However, after I started my sessions with Jahnavi, I could see a significant improvement in my mock scores. In our classes, we went through different question types and discussed ways to approach them together. We also did timed practice sessions, where we uncovered more efficient ways to solve questions. Jahnavi and I would review my mocks together and identify weaknesses in my exam strategy and individual subsections. Jahnavi is a great tutor, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone preparing for the UCAT.
