About Ioana
Having moved in Ireland from Romania in October 2021, I had to catch up with a month of schoolwork and also try to adapt to a new educational system. I can understand what it means to be struggling and not know where to even begin. I can help you by using both the knowledge and abilities I developed in Ireland and Romania (where I attended one of the best schools in the country). I also participated at the national stage of a Chemistry competition in Romania and the national stage of the Irish Mathematical Olympiad. I got a H1 in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry for my Leaving Cert.
The way I want to help you is by sharing with you everything I know regarding the areas where you are struggling. The education I received in Romania laid a strong foundation for my success at the Leaving Cert. I developed some tools that made my preparation for the exams easier. In the personalized lessons we would have together I would be focused on both equipping you with all these tools and the information you lack and also on supporting you emotionally on this journey. One of the most important things in accomplishing anything is having the confidence that you can actually get to your goals. I want to make sure I can help you with that as well.

- For each topic, I can offer you a sheet with the most important information and explained examples to solidify your
knowledge. The next time we see each other, you will be the teacher and you will give me a short lesson (5-10 minutes) on the last subject we talked about. If it's going to be necessary, I will also quiz you. Teaching others is one of the best ways you can learn and it also comes with many other benefits. See this link (concealed information)
- In the words of my teachers, "EXAM PAPERS, EXAM PAPERS, EXAM PAPERS". We will go together through exam papers that you don't know how to do and I will explain them to you.
- I will give you homework for the next time we see each other. I will correct it and then, if there is anything you are unsure of or you didn't get right, we will go through those bits together.
- For those looking for long-term tutoring, you will have a quiz once a month that would include information from topics we are tackling at the moment and older ones.
- The typical length of a lesson would be 1-1.5 hrs.
- I can help those who are in 5th/6th year.
- Though I don't have experience as a tutor, I think that all the things I've accomplished as a student and the patience and empathy I have would allow me to help you.
