About Taya
I’m Taya and I have been practicing yoga for over 7 years and teaching vinyasa, yin and meditation since 2019.
Yoga practically saved my life when I was 17 and I have been forever grateful to the practice and the mentors I've had. This practice brought a sense of light and love into my life that I was craving and searching for and has since influenced me in the most amazingly positive ways, supporting the deep connection I have with myself and others.
I decided I wanted to be able to share that with others wholeheartedly and safely which is what drew me to taking part in a ytt.
I believe that the benefits yoga offers are endless and can positively impact so many people to live healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives.
I am a very present and hands on teacher and take great care personalising a journey for each of my students, emphasising anatomy (why we move the way we move what each movement is facilitating, that what may be right for one person is not for another) the energetic and philosophical components of the practice, the importance of breath, and the awareness of oneself - how to facilitate and modify each practice, motion and movement in order to cater for ones true needs.

Each lesson is customised especially for you and your needs and can vary between 45 minutes to 2 hours.
Lessons will always include a short meditation and movement to begin in order to establish presence and clarity before delving into the subject at hand
*Depending on the subject we may be doing Asana labs which will include focus on particular asana's (poses) and involve moving between physical practice to lecture/discussion fluidly.
*Lessons are for 16+ years old and suitable for beginners to advanced students.
You will be offered the option of home work in order to consolidate and dive deeper into the information we have covered together.
