Hello! My name is Isabelle, and I am passionate about helping students excel in maths and physics. As a 4th year engineering student at Trinity College Dublin, I have a solid academic foundation and a deep understanding of these subjects. One of my personal academic achievements is receiving a 100% grade in Engineering Maths 3 at Trinity College. With over two years of tutoring experience, I have successfully guided numerous Leaving Cert students towards achieving their academic goals. I pride myself on my ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenging problems. Techniques and Teaching Methodology: My approach to tutoring is centered on creating a supportive and interactive learning environment. I begin by assessing each student's current understanding and identifying any gaps in their knowledge. My teaching methodology includes: Understanding the concepts: I emphasize a strong grasp of fundamental concepts before moving on to more complex topics. Practical Application: I incorporate real-world examples and problem-solving exercises to illustrate how theoretical concepts apply in practice. Interactive Learning: I encourage students to ask questions and engage in discussions to promote active learning. Customized Lessons: Each lesson is tailored to the student's individual needs, focusing on areas that require the most attention. Attempting Past Papers: In each lesson, I aim to complete at least one full past paper question with my students. This practice helps them become familiar with the exam format and develop effective answering techniques. I also help students understand how to break down a Leaving Cert question. Typical Length of a Lesson: A typical lesson lasts for 60 to 90 minutes. This duration allows sufficient time to cover new material, practice problems, and review previous content. Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor: I am currently an engineering student at Trinity College Dublin, with a strong academic record in both maths and physics. I have been tutoring Leaving Cert students for over two years, helping many achieve significant improvements in their grades. Who Are My Lessons For: My lessons are designed for secondary school students preparing for their Leaving Cert or Junior Cert exams. I cater to different levels of proficiency, from those who need help grasping basic concepts to those aiming to achieve top grades. My goal is to help each student reach their full potential by providing them with the tools and confidence they need to succeed in their studies.
