About Ethan

I am a 4th Year Medical Student at the University of Oxford, achieving strong academic results - ranking 7th in my cohort at the end of 3rd year, and being nominated for the British Pharmacological society clinical undergraduate award. I achieved 3A*s in Chemistry, Biology and Maths at A-level, and A* in EPQ looking at the Opt-Out system for organ donation in the UK.

I have tutored aspiring medical students for the past 3 Years on other platforms with success at gaining offers at the University of Oxford. I understand that the application is stressful, and am looking at helping in whatever way that I can.

About the lesson

As a 4th year medical student and having helped students for the past 3 years in the admissions process, I am well-positioned to help with preparation for medical school at any of the key stages. My lessons are based on techniques that I believe helped me score top 3% of UCAT, receive 4 interview offers and gain 3 med school offers including Oxford, Bristol, Leicester. I offer a free 30 minute consultation to discuss what is most important to each student, and create a personalised plan to tackle the areas that are the most important to you!

** UCAT preparation:

I know that the UCAT is a relatively stressful exam, and knowing key tips and tricks to help power through the questions is extremely important to scoring well. We can go over each section - how best to approach, and identifying any sore areas in order to improve your scores!

** Interview preparation:

I was interviewed by multiple med-schools with different interview styles (MMI, panel, and Oxford’s interview with a greater emphasis on scientific rigour). I try to replicate these experiences as closely as possible to provide mock interview experiences with feedback that directly addresses the main sticking points.

I also offer general interview preparation - covering reflections on work experience, motivation, current affairs/hot topics within medicine. This is also useful in helping to prepare the personal statement, which can be workshopped and edited before the deadline.
