About Yash

As a computer science student at Arizona State University, I have developed a strong foundation in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++. I have experience working as a coding instructor for both Best Brains Learning and Code Ninjas, where I have taught children how to code in Scratch, JavaScript, and C++. I have also interned at Wells Fargo as a Software Engineer over the summer. In addition to my technical expertise, I am a dedicated and reliable professional with strong communication and teamwork abilities. As the co-founder of Musical Minds Piano School, I have also gained valuable experience in client interaction, teaching, and curriculum development. In my role as a student researcher at ASU, I have applied machine learning to detect human trafficking activities of indigenous people, and I have contributed to the development of open-source software for small businesses and nonprofits as an intern at TechForGood Inc.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is centered on the specific needs of the student. Before beginning any lessons, I take the time to understand the student's strengths, weaknesses, and goals in order to tailor the lessons to their needs. In my lessons, I focus on hands-on learning and encourage students to actively engage with the material through exercises and projects.

A typical lesson plan for me would involve introducing the topic, providing examples, and then having the student work on exercises or a project to apply what they have learned. I also make sure to allow plenty of time for questions and clarifications, as I believe that a student's understanding and retention of the material is the most important factor in a successful lesson.

I believe that what sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to break complex concepts down into easily understandable terms and my patience when working with students. I also have a strong work ethic and always strive to be well-prepared for each lesson.

I have experience tutoring children and young adults in computer science subjects such as Scratch, JavaScript, Python, and C++. My lessons are typically geared toward students in elementary or middle school, although I am also comfortable working with high school students or adults who are looking to learn these subjects.
